FACULTY AND STAFF

Warren Pettit helped found and has been the director of the Contemporary Music Center since 2001.  Before coming to the CMC he served for fourteen years as associate professor of music at Greenville College in Illinois. Pettit holds the M.M. from the University of Miami, the B.M. from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and the A.R.C.T. from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.

Tom Willett, also a founder of the CMC, served as creative director from 2001-2007.  He is now assistant director of the program. Mr. Willett worked in the music industry as musician, agent, manager, executive producer, marketing executive and label head for more than twenty years.

Mr. Pettit and Mr. Willett are supported by an executive assistant and a resident life director. Additionally, leading artists and music industry executives serve as adjunct faculty throughout the semester.
