Admissions

Who Should Apply?
Do you love music?  Do you want to learn the business?  Are you ready for late-night philosophical discussions about popular music's value as an art form, in a place where appearance doesn't matter, but talent does?  If you are answering "yes" to any of these questions, then you should apply to the Contemporary Music Center.

The Contemporary Music Center typically accepts upperclassmen from CCCU member colleges. The program is interdisciplinary. Students who can demonstrate ability in either the creative or business aspects of the music industry are welcome to apply. The CMC will also consider applications from students of non-Council institutions, space permitting, if the institution will confer the academic credit and handle the billing through its business office. An additional $200.00 is charged to non-Council students once admitted to the program.

“I can’t imagine anyone who wants to get into the music business not going through this program.  I’ve learned more in the first two weeks about the industry than I ever thought possible.”          Jon Payne (Olivet Nazarene University), CMC fall 2006
